I’m leaving in less than two weeks and all I do is party and so on. Well among the and so on was the machine live on Saturday. Kaytea was so kind to come with me (^_^) So finally I was able to see one of my fav bands live on stage and they were GREAT!! I was a bit disappointed because it wasn’t Chirolyn on base and not joe on the drums, but apart from that the live was great. Kaytea and I were standing in the back, which didn’t really matter, because we had a great view on Hakuei und Kiyoshi, the guitar God. Well and even though we were not there for to be seen by the band, we couldn’t help it, cuz they had black light and fucking God in heaven both of our heads were glowing like crazy, so even in the dark we were hard core medatsu!
Beautiful lights, but they switched on the main light during one song a couple of times, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable, but since they played all the songs I love the most it was a forgivable flaw. They are not as chit chatty as Penicillin, but still had some short stories to tell the audience, which I already have forgotten, blame it on the alcohol, I consume WAY too much of that stuff lately. Hakuei fucking sexy as always, and thank god, he finally took of his shirt and made me happy with that. As always he was whoring himself and tried to sell the merch to the audience, pretending to be crying to make us buy his shit, while Kiyoshi made him shut up a couple of times letting his guitar squeal. Hilarious while witnessing it, boring to read about it here on my blog though. Right after the live was over I went to the merch table and bought a couple of things *woot woot* of course I couldn’t resist, you know me.
After a short chit chat with a couple of Kaytea’s clients we made our way home to Tokyo (the live was in Yokohama)

I contacted a couple of companies to ship my stuff to Germany and two of them replied telling me their shipping costs right away. 350,000 YEN!!! are they FUCKING crazy? Honestly overweight luggage would cost me less! Sending my shit by normal postal service would cost me LESS. WTF! Can somebody help me?

It is 8 a.m (more or less) and even though I had a great evening, I had a shitty night. Shitty night was because of the major ass typhoon which was having a party in Tokyo last night. That thing partied wild enough to make one of the people from school call me a couple of minutes ago to give me the good news of: NO FUCKING SCHOOL TODAY. NICE!!!!
It was already raining cats and dogs yesterday when I met a dude from facebook and I have to say I had a really fun evening, even though I spent it mostly answering his questions. Journalists, all the same (^_~) Nana, just a joke, it really was a fun evening and he was English enough (well actually quarter French the rest is Japanese, but he grew up in England and lives in London atm) to be a non nonchalant gentleman (I know I know, it’s nothing that actually fits together, but it does, believe me) Being the disgustingly honest being that I am I surprised that dude quite a lot with my straight forward answers to his questions. Funny enough he’s only 3 months older than my bro but seems a lot more like an adult. I think my brother and me are really childish, we just don’t behave like most people do at our age. I wonder why? And more importantly, is that a good or a bad thing?
He asked me when I was planning on settling down, and I was like: well after graduation maybe like in 2 or 3 years, another thing that surprised him. Not that I will be friggin old when I graduate, people in Europe normally know that Germany is a bit special when it comes down to that, but the fact that I wasn’t planning on settling down or anything before I turn 30…might have not fit into his image of women.

Hah, well, as some of you know I signed up for the home stay in Akita (look it up on google maps, it’s way up in the north of Japan) With the Shinkansen it takes you about 3 1/2 hrs from Tokyo to get there, which is quite long considering the fact how fast that thing goes. Pretty much all of us were sleeping cuz our trip started in Tokyo at 8:30 which means some of us already had been on the local trains for an hour to get there. We made it all in time and started taking silly pictures before we all slept.
When we arrived in Akita our new Otousan and our new Okasan picked us up and took us home to their place, which was a mess and I was praying that we didn’t have to stay in their house. No doubt lovely people, but BOY was that house a mess. They treated us to some home made cold Soba with Tempura, which was really yummy and started talking a bit. The group was fairly mixed together and I didn’t know most of the people there well enough to be all hey dude, how’s it going like. Our new dad started talking about my friend Chris from Hong Kong who took part in the home stay in winter and couldn’t help but grin all over his face when I told him that we were friends. Why did he grin, well, Chris is tattooed and has a couple of piercings in his face and on his body and I was sitting their with green plastic hair extensions, well, let’s just say he could see why we get along (^_~)
He was a fun dude, our new dad, and insisted on paying everything for us, which means meals, entry fees for the onsens, gasoline for driving us around all the time and so on and so forth. When he took us fishing he started to rant a bit about the strange foreigners who are coming into Japan and fucking it up and I couldn’t help but laugh and was like, well strange like me, and he was just like nono, you are young, nothing you can do about that, which made me laugh even harder.
Me and 3 other people from our group (of which I new none) stayed at an Otera (Shinto Shrine) with the priest and his wife and his two very lively children who insisted that I was from Brazil cuz I had green and yellow hair and blue eyes (o__O) well, I let them play with my hair and hit me with soft sticks frequently in the head, because they just seemed to enjoy it quite a lot. Since they always had a couple of their friends over it sometimes got a bit loud in the house of many gods and all I can say is, that I did a really good job in pulling myself together, cuz to be honest I can only take a certain amount of screaming each day.
Of course they fed us like we were kings, no kidding every meal Minami made for us was huge and yummy. The ossan (priest) himself did a really good job in getting us drunk every night. He seemd to enjoy it quite a bit. The second night we had a huge BBQ which was a lot of fun. 3 dudes from Australia joined us (all in ther 50/60). Really cool people and I enjoyed speaking a bit of English to them since I was struggling with my Japanese a lot that weekend, probably cuz I was pretty much speaking nothing but German while my bro was here, or English, but only little Japanese. Well all in all it was an amazing stay we had, not only cuz the priest took me on his motorbike to the national firework championships. That was something. 3hrs of fireworks with background music and since it was in Japan, everything organized into hard core detail. You had to buy tickets for it, well with buying the tickets you were renting some space which of course was numbered and everything. It was hilarious. And my dear friends, riding a motorbike (even though I didn’t ride it myself) was a hole new experience which I totally loved. But first things first….ne (^_~)
The day after the BBQ they wanted to go to an Onsen again, having it done once I wasn’t to keen about it. Well in an Onsen you get butt naked and hop into a hot bath with about 20 people you’ve never seen in your life, a female bonding experience I did once and am for sure never doing again. So I decided to stay outside and sleep some of the alcohol off while the others took their bath. Well…..I’m leaving a bit part out here now which is only for friends, and believe me, I will tell you that story a bit differently when I get back home (^_~) The rest of that Saturday was very easy going (at night the firework - I know I know, I’m jumping back and forth in days, I’m sorry) Well Sunday was leaving day so the only thing we did that day, apart from playing with the children was packing our stuff leaving our traditional Tatami rooms with Futons behind and went for Omiyage (souvenir) shopping, said good bye to everybody and hopped on the train back home to Tokyo in the afternoon. Soon everybody was asleep again, trying to ignore the fact that we had midterm the following Monday (T_T)
since there are too many pictures to upload them here, take a look at the webalbum (^_~) I will add captures tomorrow

Ahh okay, I stopped talking about Tokyo Decadance, right? Well, to be honest that night is a blur, but I will do my best to kinda report from it. J-POP cafe (which is above Mandarake in Shibuya for those who don’t know) turned out to be quite a good spot for a party. After saying hello to the usual suspects we proceed to the room where the mistress lounge was, stepping into the room already a couple of half naked guys were crawling on the floor being wiped by half naked girls, nothing that doesn’t happen at every Tokyo Decadance, but showing it to my brother sure was different. He was a bit shy with the picture taking in the beginning, having the same upbringing as I had we are more or less polite people and don’t just randomly take pictures of people, but I explained to him that there is not ONE soul at this party who dresses like a whore or something more adventurous who doesn’t want their pictures taken in poses they would never want their boss to find out about. So he took a couple of pictures. Too bad I can’t show you any of those, cuz he took them all back to Germany. The ones I took too…you wonder how that works, oh well, easy answer….but I won’t give it to you (^_~) Just kidding, we bought a new mac and we put all the pictures on that one and he took it home, so no pictures of that party unless you know kaytea and are on her livejournal friends list. COMPLETELY wasted we went back home at…I dunno what time, but I am very proud of myself that I actually washed off all that make-up before I flung myself into bed, hoping that me and my bro wouldn’t kill each other sleeping on a 110 bed.
What else happened while my bro was here? Oh yes, wonderful story which shows you that Japan isn’t all sunshine for foreigner, if you still believe in that fairy tale. We were looking for a Sushi place in Ginza (which took us funny enough quite a long time, funny why? because Ginza is right next to Tsukiji, the worlds biggest fish market, for those of you who didn’t know) and when we found one and stepped inside the woman greeted us with a very firm 外人はちょっと~(gaijin ha chotto - which means as much as: ew foreigners) when the dude behind us pointed out that I speak Japanese she let us sit down and felt obliged to explain herself later on. Her explanation was quite funny, she was just like, well ya know I like to talk to people and when they don’t understand Japanese the whole conversation consists of OKAY? OKAY! When we paid the bill she complemented us outside with ICH LIEBE DICH, the standard German sentence everybody seems to know in this country. For a country in which the concept of love is still a bit off and probably always will be, it’s quite funny that they can shout it at you in 5 different languages.
Well, I’m sure a lot more happened during the two weeks with my brother, but either it’s non of your business or I can’t remember (^_~)
If you are on Studivz you can check out the pictures from my bro’s stay here on his site.
I think that’s pretty much it (^_~)
