I so was yearning for a 12012 DVD! I just love their music, love their lives, love their style and was hoping for cool PV's! And I was not disappointed. This DVD is so worth it's money even though it only contains 3 songs. All three PV's are set in the same deserted factory scenery I love so much. I think those kind of half destroyed buildings do have a really cool atmosphere and I really am happy about every PV that has this kind of atmosphere.
12012 costumes are wicked as always and they are wearing suits once, too...they look good in suits, too. Also I a thing I appreciate.
1) Burn - great song, set outside the building
2) Shiniro - great song, set inside the building
3) Another Scene - great song, set inside and outside....the vocalist (what's his name again? I really can't recall it right now) eats dust and rubbes around on the floor...SEXY *insanelaugh* makes me want to go to one of their lives like RIGHT NOW (^_^)
No making offs, but still a must buy for every 12012 fan (^_^)
Well what can I say. I could have used the money for something better, like wipe my ass. Harsh words indeed, but this DVD is simply not worth the money.
1) CHILD PREY - we all know the PV = boring = skip
2) Mr. Newsman - cut together 5 ugly kingdom material = known for a long time = boring = skip
3) Drain away - pretty old, but okay PV = okayish = still skipped it
4) kasumi - pretty PV, nice Dir en grey PV weirdness, the guys look good = good = watch it
5) Obscure from Blitz 5 Days - cut together scenes from those famous lives, I know them = boring = skip
6) The Final - that's the fire PV and the guys look hott, I also like the song, Shinya looked sooooooooooooo yummy at that time *sigh* they all did = good = watch it
7) Machiavellism - live scenes cut together....due to the fact that it is a new song it means those are actually scenes I haven't seen a zillion times yet, therefore it is not that boring, but = still skipped
8) saku - Dir en grey kiddo killed parents greatness. I live Kyo's braces in that PV, I like the song and I like the band setting, I like the blood and I love Kyo's hair in that one, too (^_^) = goodish = watch it, at least once
9) kodou - boy kills girl story? Guys look good...yeah I like the current look eat it!!! You never see Toshiya's face in that PV but a lot of Die shots, so yay for Die fans (^_^) = goodish = kinda watched it in fast forward
The DVD contains making off of CHILD PREY, I find it amazing that Kyo is able to jump around and go nuts on command, pretty cool (^_^) The making offs are already worth watching if you can hear Toshiya's weirdo laugh once. I love his way of laughing (^_^)
So the making off parts make it actually not worth the money but I love making offs so I'm gonna keep the DVD and not sell it as soon as I come back to Germany. It's kinda cool watch Kyo watch himself (^_^) I won't tell you more about that part of the DVD, because if you decide on buying you will find out that this part is the best part of the DVD (did anybody count how many times I used the word part in this part ^^)
watching: ムックのココロノナイマチ
mood:
somewhere in between
Am I wrong or is this new Mucc song a lot different from they usual work? I dunno I never got into Mucc, cuz I thought that their music was even a lot more disordered than Kagerou's stuff, and to be honest, I have to be in a really weird mood to listen to a Kagerou CD straight through till the end. Not that I don't like Kagerou...I luv them, especially live (^_^), but they ain't a very melodic bunch, are they?
Well surfing around I found this new Mucc PV (scroll down...Mucc in Katakana as in the title!) and watched it out of pure boredom and the lacking will to go have a shower (^_^) So I watched it, and I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised, since I don't really remember that I ever heard the vocalist actually SING a song. Okay, I only know about 3 songs of those guys, but I never really liked them. This one is more like a lalala sing along song, but I have to admit I find it kind of catchy and I like it. Yeah, the first Mucc song I like *strangedout*
It would be veeeeeeeeery helpful if any of you could tell me if they are aiming for a new style or if there are actually a couple of thongs like that? I would totally go for them in that case....even though it is a little lala (^_^)

not certain
Well, I got it a couple of days ago and still did not feel like watching more than the reddish Diva Version PV and it's making of, so I can't really tell if this live DVD is great or lame (^_^) but I doubt that it will be lame.
Reddish is just one of those typical D'espairs Ray PV's, nothing new! But still a nice PV it's typically D'espairs, but that doesn't mean it's bad, I like it at least (^_^) I like the setting with the curtains and all.
The live was at Liquid Room Ebisu (Tokyo) 2004.09.23. and the DVD is called murder Day. Well one thing a friend of me actually made me think about. Japanese DVD's start by themselves, which doesn't mean they don't have a menu, they have, you just have to press the menu button on your control! I never thought about this before, since I don't really ever use the menu, at least not those on music DVD's except there are hidden tracks as on the 5 Ugly Kingdom DVD by Dir en grey....which leads me to the news, that Dir en grey will have a new DVD out at the end of June called average fury. It will be a PV collection, which is good, since I'm craving for some new Dir en grey PV's (^_^)
P.S. spell check did not find any mistakes....is that possible?
Well this is just a pic of the stuff I will have to review, but to be honest I haven't even listened to all of it yet, so gimme some time. I know I promised to do the review stuff as soon as I find some time, but you have to understand that I'm actually really busy, sorry!

rather confused by to many vocabs
Oh well, finally the Osaka Jo Hall live DVD arrived...which band? Dir en grey! Be ashamed, you should know that (just kidding) It's a pretty cool live which is famous among fans for the Garden performance. I was told to pay a lot of attention to the performance of garden, which is during the first encore. So I did and I was waiting for something major dramatic to happen, but the only thing that happened was that Toshiya (Bass) nearly started crying that Kyo's (Vocals) eyes where watery and the rest of them looked as if somebody had stolen them their favorite toy. That was it! I was kind of disappointed, not that I'd love to see them break down and cry on stage, but people acted so dramatically about this performance that I had expected a little more. So the next time Osaka Jo Hall live gets mentioned and everybody makes a sad face just tell them that they are drama queens! But the DVD is really nice, I like the early Dir en grey performances a lot, because they kind of interact a little more than nowerdays. You see them jumping around having fun on stage, especially Toshiya, Kaoru makes lots of faces into the camera and Die is just sometimes grinning his time away. Shinya, well Shinya always kind of hides behind his drums, that just seems to be his nature. At the end the fans get fooled a little, but to find out what I mean you will have to buy the DVD yourself (^_^) And they are torturing poor little Shin again (^_^) Well the performances are great and the bonus stuff is a little short but okay, too. You get some backstage stuff, equipment and staff. So if you are interested what that extremely ugly Bass is called Toshiya uses during the second encore you can look it up here (^_^)
This time I wanted to test out iTunes and so I used it to purchase stuff I always kind of wanted but never bothered to buy the CD, so I've got lots of new stuff from Finland. I like the Finnish goth-rock bands a lot, because they aren't that gothy and more rocky, if you understand what I mean. So first of all I really needed to buy the Bettersweet EP by Apocalyptica. This song has been following around me ever since it got released, but I don't go into normal CD stores anymore, since nearly all I'm listening to at the moment needs to be imported! So I bought it, I just love this song...I love Ville Valo's deep voice haunting through this beautiful cello song. For those of you who didn't know, normally Apocalyptica stuff is not with lyrics, it's only for celli. But they make beautiful melancholic music, and that's just what I need right now! I even like Lauri Ylönen's high pitched voice in that song, because it harmonizes to Ville Valos rather deep voice. I really love that song. There are three versions of it on the EP, the normal one, of course, the acoustic one and the instrumental one. I like all three versions a lot. There are two other songs included which are Misconstruction and Quutamo. Misconstruction is a really beautiful song. I like to listen to it Quutamo is all right, to, but a little too happy for my taste at the moment. None the less a good song.
Since I don't have the time to give detailed reviews right now...remember guys, I'm having lots of exams next week, I'm just going to tell you what else is new. We start with Apocalyptica, besides the Bittersweet EP there is Apocalyptica (album), Apocalyptica plays Metallica by four Cellos and Refelctions. To stay with the Finns I had to buy some new H.I.M stuff. A couple of you will roll their eyes, but I still like them a lot. I liked them 5 years ago and just now I discover that I still like them, and they also suit my mood right now. So I got their And Love Says No album (sounds like a quote out of my life!), Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights (album) and Love Metal (album). All three of them pretty cool.
Next week exams are over and they you guys will have to read quite a lot of detailed CD and DVD reviews.....you will see (^_^)
I also got via I tunes some Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds stuff, but stupid me I accidently deleted two of the CD right after buying them. Now I have to figure out whether I have to buy them again or if the iTunes support can help me otherwise *breakdown*
So now we have the first minus of digital music (T_T)
listening to: ガゼットのcockayne soup
mood: stressed out
it's been a while since I updated, but to be honest I've got so much work to do since exams are coming up really fast and I'm probably going to fail half of them, therefore my creativity is kind of not available at the moment! My mind is simply stuck on other stuff.
I've got three new Gazette CD's which I'm really proud of, as you can see by what I'm listening to right now cockayne soup is one of them, of course I got the new one Disorder, too. The last one I got is 悪友會 (read: akuyuukai) I already like them a lot and I will give you a bigger review as soon as my exams are over. I'm too stressed out by now. Since I'm not in the mood for the search of Kanji I can't tell you the names of my new Kagrra stuff...okay one is easy, it's sakura. I've got two new Kagrra DVD's, too...you can already tell that this order was more or less a Kagrra order (^_^)
Well what else have we got...yes some new (well it's old stuff, but it's new in my list of things) Penicillin stuff. I just love that band and I can't believe that I'm a stupid bitch not going to their anniversary. But whatever...okay lets see...ahh yes Penicillin's Missing Link and Into the Vally of Dolls is to be called mine (^0^) And finally I've got Déspairs Ray's Gärnet, too \(^_^)/...so give me some time to listen to the stuff and then you'll get a report that couldn't be more specific *lol*
So my dears, that's the first single by "The Trax" Yoshiki Hayashi's new project directly from Korea (^_^) I've already linked their official hompage in the link category. You can check out their latest PV for scorpio there (^_^) Good boys, they are smart and put it on their homepage, what a pleasure for foreign fans who aren't able to watch korean tv (^_^)
Okay, it's a 3 track single
1)Paradox
2)On the Road
3)Are you ready?
I've been talking about the Paradox track quite a lot already, but I can't stop. So it's a complete x-over track, nothing for those of you who are looking for the typical visual stuff, but those who like to taste somethin' new here you go. I will try to get a translation of this song by a Korean friend...maybe she will do it, I'll ask her. What I like most about this track ist the beginning, because it starts off like a typical pop song (I can't stand listening to) and then some really fat riffs blast through your speaker, neat effect (^_^) in the middle is a really cool riff part, too. I like the song a lot, because of the stopps before they get to the riff part and then back again. I really liked that (^_^) The refrain is really catchy and if you listen to it enough you can sing a long even though you don't have a fucking clue what you are singing about (^_^) Back to 14 *ggg*
The second song On the Road also starts quite poppy, but the riffs are soon to follow even though they aren't as fat as those in Paradox. The song gets slow really fast (strange sentence I know) but they kick in soon enough before you start to think: Hey...I din't by a Boa CD, where are my riffs???? Again some neat stopps which sometimes are placed quite unexpectively. Typhoon really has a nice voice (what's his real name again, since I really hate their nicknames for Trax *shudder*) I's nothing new, but they have a poppy theme which they repeat in a rocky way afterwards, but still it is a good song. At least I think so! And that's what's counting! (^_^)
Okay last but not least...there is Are you ready? I like the beginning with those sirenes and the rough and hard singing right from the beginning. It really has something mean to it, and boys you know how much I like that (^_^) But even though they try to be rough the put a harmonic singing part in the song, which caught me kind of by surprise. I like the quiet part near the ending of the song, too, but I like the ending of the the quiet part even more, some screaming, some riffs, some rap, a stop and then Typhoons (what's his fucking real name...pleaaaaaaaaaase) nice and rather clean voice. Really cool combo if you ask me.
That's it for the Paradox single.
The mini album (or however you'd like to call that)Scorpio is rather strange, I can't even remember the tacklist *sigh* and I'm too lazy to look it up.
1)Scorpio
2)Tears
3)???
4)???
Scorpio is a good song but I hate the beginning. You wonder why? Because Yoshiki made 2 major mistakes on this mini album. First some of you might remember the X-Japan stage entry woman's voice saying X with an echo on the live live live CD? They did the same thing with Trax! What is Yoshiki trying to do? Relive is youth? He shouldn't try that and for sure he shouldn't fuck up the boys from The Trax trying too hard. Well the rest of Scorpio is neat. There is the PV on the official homepage so take a look when having the time (^_^) They have a new look. I liked Attacks old look better than the new one. He looked hotter with the straight hair. I swear.
Then the second song is the scond mistake on this mini album. They covered tears. It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't know the original by X-Japan. If you are used to Tochis voice singing this song with extremly much emotion going along with it you can't like Typhoons voice singing this song. At least for me it is not possible. And no, they don't sing it in Korean, they sing it in Japanese.
The last two songs are quite cool. There is a slower song which is also in Japanese which is kind of a lovesong and a bit slower, as far as I understood the stuff he was singing, and you guys know how bad my Japanese is, so please don't rely on that. The other song is in Korean, and as faf as I remember it was quite cool, a bit faster more in the Parasdox (as single not the song) style. They should keep to that, seems that that's what they are best at.
So much for The Trax for today. I hope they release a full album soon!

not in the mood to visit my grandma
I completely forgot that some stuff arrived before Chirstmas at my parent's house. Finally some of the still left to come stuff from neo tokyo, probably the slowest internet j-music deliverer one could imagine. I ordered that stuff back in September when I came back from Shanghai! Can you belive that there are still things missing? I already got stuff from Tokyo and HongKong in that time and I ordered that stuff waaaaaaaaaaaay later! Okay, but since this is not supposed to be a bitching-about-neo-tokyo-entry I will move on to the things that arrived. They made me really really happy, those things that arrived of course..what else is making me happy lately but new stuff from Japan? Not much!
So here we go:
it's J's "The Judgment Day" 2003.1.4. Live at BUDOKAN. This DVD fucking rocks, even though again the backstage and arrival and whatever scenes are cut inbetween songs (-_-) miraculously it doesn't ruin the live feeling as much as it normally does, but it still sucks. But still this DVD is awesome. Songs that rock all the way, really cool performances, I really liek the "Fuck J" thing, I nearly peed my pants laughing. And the orchestra song was really cool, too. I would have never thought that he'd actually take a live orchestra into BUDOKAN, but he did. J rocks (^_^)
Tracklist will be there later...I will post details as soon as I watched that damn thing again! I will have to watch it with a friend, it's so much more fun having someone sitting beside you while watching a live DVD, since 4 eyes see a lot more than only 2, right?
Okay, next thing that arrived, which made me even a lot happier Dir en grey's GAUZE-62045. It contains the Gauze PV's. I guess everyone nows them already, but I will post some kind of review later. I really need some more time for the review shit *sigh* where does all my time always go? Oh I know....dreaming it a away, or spending it studying Chinese and Japanese....I totally forgot about that (-_-) There is one thing I want to mention right away though. You can watch the songs with English subtitels which is really fucking neat. No honestly, I've read nearly all the translations off all songs I took a special interest in...mainly to check if there was something political I would not be able to tolerate...but to be honest, I never sat down listening to a song holding the translation in my hand reading along, I don't even do that with the romanized stuff. I read the orginals along, as far as my kanji-knowledge takes me, but that's pretty much it. So watching the PV with English subtitles is a great opportunity to really understand a song. And I really liked that. They should have put the opportunity that one can read the romanized stuff, too, on the DVD, too (okay, strange sentence but never mind, I guess if anyone at all reads this shit, he or she will understand what I mean (^_^) I hope...)That would have been really cool, but we should not ask for too much should we. It kind of sucks that there aren't any making offs on it, but this again is a "a knot" thing. Only members get those kind of things (T_T) This is going to be the first thing after moving to Tokyo next year. JOIN THE "A KNOT" \(^_^)/ I will probably not be able to eat the first couple of month because of spening all my money for Visual stuff, but hey...it's not that I couldn't live of my fat for a while (^_-) just kidding (^_^)
okay that will do for a new arrival report (^_^)
see ya later guys (^_^)
listening to: Rainy Sun no Porno Virus
mood:
still mixed
Okay people, a tiny load of Korean music arrived from Hong Kong. You wonder why I order Korean music from Hong Kong. Easy thing, I'm a yesasia shopper and since they have Korean music, too there is no need to get it from Korea where I would have to find a music store that is sending stuff to Germany first. And I didn't have the energy to do that yet, and maybe I never will. Where's the difference anyway whether I get it from Hong Kong or directly from Korea. None I guess.
Okay this time I got of course "Paradox" or "Blast" from The Trax...I just love those boys and I really love their songs. They are quite different from normal Visual Kei stuff, I wouldn't even call the Visual, even though their way of clothing could make them (-_-) I'm still sick, please keep that in mind while reading this!
The Trax's single includes of course the song Paradox I already told you about numerous times, then there is "On the Road" which is starting of real slow followed by some rappy part more or less in the background, finally the song is speeding up a little but it remains quite slow, more like easy listening...oh well the stuff I consider easy listening (^_^) a beautiful song, but nothing really special. I'd say they rock the thing limp biskit (or however those Americans are spelled like) failed to rock. Even this slow song is quite powerful, but nothing really new. I still like it though. "Are you ready" is the last song on this single which starts with some nice riffs, quite aggressive singing which I like a lot. And it works even though or especially because they are all pretty young. There is a quite spooky part to it, too and our dear X-mas is doing a good job on screaming again (^_^) I like that song since it isn't flowing nicely in a crossover way, but it has some nice unexpected parts in it without becoming disharmonic. So if you guys are looking for a typical Visual Band, keep you hands off their CD's, but if you are open to a more X-over style of Visual give it a chance.
Two of the other 3 CD's that arrived are by rainy sun, who have a more bat cavey sound to them, if you know what I mean. I guess it is the quite spooky singing. I got porno virus and woman by them, but I haven't really listened to those CD's, so you'll have to wait to get something like a review.
The fourth CD is a compilation called Indie Power 2003 which means that popular Korean pop songs are performed by indie bands. Some of those are really really cool, and those I don't like are too death metally. I just hate that senseless screaming shit *argh* I like it when there are parts of songs like that (best example: Dir en grey) but I really hate it if the whole song isn't understandable at all. What's the purpose of that anyway? Okay, enough of the bitching, I will tell you later which songs are good and which ones sucked badly (^_^)
