12012 - Created Movie 1

I so was yearning for a 12012 DVD! I just love their music, love their lives, love their style and was hoping for cool PV's! And I was not disappointed. This DVD is so worth it's money even though it only contains 3 songs. All three PV's are set in the same deserted factory scenery I love so much. I think those kind of half destroyed buildings do have a really cool atmosphere and I really am happy about every PV that has this kind of atmosphere.
12012 costumes are wicked as always and they are wearing suits once, too...they look good in suits, too. Also I a thing I appreciate.

1) Burn - great song, set outside the building
2) Shiniro - great song, set inside the building
3) Another Scene - great song, set inside and outside....the vocalist (what's his name again? I really can't recall it right now) eats dust and rubbes around on the floor...SEXY *insanelaugh* makes me want to go to one of their lives like RIGHT NOW (^_^)

No making offs, but still a must buy for every 12012 fan (^_^)

Dir en grey - Average Fury

Well what can I say. I could have used the money for something better, like wipe my ass. Harsh words indeed, but this DVD is simply not worth the money.

1) CHILD PREY - we all know the PV = boring = skip
2) Mr. Newsman - cut together 5 ugly kingdom material = known for a long time = boring = skip
3) Drain away - pretty old, but okay PV = okayish = still skipped it
4) kasumi - pretty PV, nice Dir en grey PV weirdness, the guys look good = good = watch it
5) Obscure from Blitz 5 Days - cut together scenes from those famous lives, I know them = boring = skip
6) The Final - that's the fire PV and the guys look hott, I also like the song, Shinya looked sooooooooooooo yummy at that time *sigh* they all did = good = watch it
7) Machiavellism - live scenes cut together....due to the fact that it is a new song it means those are actually scenes I haven't seen a zillion times yet, therefore it is not that boring, but = still skipped
8) saku - Dir en grey kiddo killed parents greatness. I live Kyo's braces in that PV, I like the song and I like the band setting, I like the blood and I love Kyo's hair in that one, too (^_^) = goodish = watch it, at least once
9) kodou - boy kills girl story? Guys look good...yeah I like the current look eat it!!! You never see Toshiya's face in that PV but a lot of Die shots, so yay for Die fans (^_^) = goodish = kinda watched it in fast forward

The DVD contains making off of CHILD PREY, I find it amazing that Kyo is able to jump around and go nuts on command, pretty cool (^_^) The making offs are already worth watching if you can hear Toshiya's weirdo laugh once. I love his way of laughing (^_^)
So the making off parts make it actually not worth the money but I love making offs so I'm gonna keep the DVD and not sell it as soon as I come back to Germany. It's kinda cool watch Kyo watch himself (^_^) I won't tell you more about that part of the DVD, because if you decide on buying you will find out that this part is the best part of the DVD (did anybody count how many times I used the word part in this part ^^)

Kagrra's 京

Artwork by Yuichiro Fuyaka

Okay, let's start the review over. The special edition comes with booklets of each member, with yet not published pictures and some information about them. Haven't had the time to try translate it, so I can't tell you whats written in them. Maybe I'll add that later.
The DVD menu is nicely done, but it takes a little too much time to load for my taste. I don't want to wait for an hour to get to see the menu.
Well anyways, the member pop up in pairs and of course 一志 (Isshi: Vocals) is to come last. He starts talking a bit, and if you've never heard him speak before you are like: Wow, pretty deep voice. Which his normal speaking voice really is, not knowing people probably wonder even more when he starts to sing, cuz some of you already know that 一志 is much more of a soprano (^_^) Their clothing is somehow traditional as we are used to it by Kagrra. Really nice stuff, I hope they sick with their style. The live takes place on 3.3.2004 in Shibuya Kokaido, which means its a hall live (you get seats). In the beginning they show some backstage pre-performance material which is kind of neat, because you can witness how much detail they put in their outfits. I mean Isshi's nails are always very...how can I say that...girlie like (^_^), but hey, it suits him (^_^) There are sequences from the rehersal spread throughout the video, so they come inbetween song which is kind of annoying since one gets kind of ripped out of that very voulnerable live feeling you get into while watching a live DVD. So a big minus on that one. Why did they not put it all at the end of the DVD? That would have been a lot better.
女雅 (Nao: Bass) Sticks in the back a lot in the beginning, but he seems very genki. Not kidding, he's smiling all the way, he seems to be very happy. During the live he comes to the front a lot though, which is a very good thing, since I like him a lot (^_^). Very cute scene is when 女雅 comes to the front and starts smiling at 一志 (^_^) my my, that's really cute. They all move around quite a lot on stage, doing their dances and stuff like that. The only one who doesn't really move is 真 (Shin: Guitar) maybe because he doesn't feel to comfi with his ugly make-up. Sorry guys but what did he do to his face? He really isn't as ugly as he looks during that live. They should not have let his little sister do it!
During the third song (pleas don't aks me what it's called) 一志 does this really cool handdance on the mike. It looks really cool, but that's what Kagrra are very famous for. Isshi's handdances (^_^) Which leads me to the fact that Isshi has a solo performance with some techno style song during that live more or less in the middle. He's wearing some white dress with really really long sleaves which are held at each end by some staff...of course you can't see them. Since the light is coming from behind you can see that 一志 has to keep his arms up during the performance. Not bad, he must be rather strong (^_^) Another remarcalbe thing about 一志 is that he's not only able to walk in platform high heels, but he also manages it to jump with those. Respect! I'd probably brake my neck trying that!
The 6th song is shown in multiple perspective which is okay but not necessary. I don't really like special effects on live DVD's. It really destroys the illusion that you might have been there.
The audience shots are really nice, because good Japanese fangirls do what? No they don't throw underwear (okay maybe sometimes they do) They do cosplay. Okay that's kind of easy with Kagrra since you only have to wear a Kimono, but they look really nice (^_^) and all of those good fangirlies know the handdances well. It's really neat to watch them doing the fan dance (^_^)
When leaving for the encoru break Kagrra throw stuff as good rockstars do so, and they throw stuff far. So if you wonna catch something you'd rather wonna stay in the middle of the hall.
The second song of the encoru has something to do with Sakura (Cherryblossom) and 一志 lets the audience sing by themselves for some time. Sound quite good (^_^)
Light come up...live is over, but even if I didn't like the behind the scenes shots popping up here, I'd still recommend watching this DVD. I liked it even though it's a little short with only 11 songs played.
If you don't know Kagrra I'd recommend to by the DVD first even though it's a little expensive.

Miyavi 雅

Let's get started with the Meev. Since even those among you who can't read Japanes must have noticed that 1) and 2) look pretty much the same (and right you are, the songs are the same ones) you probably wonder why I bought both singles, well here is the answer: They come with differnt PV's which means that you have to purchuase both in order to see them both, or you listen to me and only buy the one with the good PV, which would be the 2) one mentioned, since the PV to 21世紀型行進曲 is rather cool.
It's set on some deserted road in the country side. Meev is wearing some designer samurai outfit, which suits him very well. Good hair and nice make up. No goofing around, which is really good, since I hate it, when he does it like in "POP is dead" *shudder* (but we'll come to that one later!) Different people form all kinds of races appear in this PV and are convinced by our sweet little Meev that music is spicing up their lifes, so they all start playing the guitar and dancing along at the end of the song. The colors are kind of greyish, I really can't describe that one, sorry, you will have to watch it! Funny thing, when an Arab guy is shown a plain is in the background. I wonder if that was made on purpose.
The PV to ロックの逆襲 -スーパースターの条件- has nothing to it. Same outfit, different setting (plain white studio setting) different people, but boring, so if you wonna see what the Meev lookis like it is enough to buy the version mentioned above under 2).

一人芸 is a PV collection with the following track list:
-Girls,be ambitious
-POP is dead
-死んでもBoogie-Woogie
-自分革命-2003-
-Coo quack cluck-ク・ク・ル-【original ver】
-常勝街道
-あしタ、元気ニなぁレ。【original ver】

-POP is dead【off shot ver.】
-死んでもBoogie-Woogie【off shot ver.】

The making offs aren't erally inetersting. During the Shindemo Boogie-Woogie making off they show Meev with his bare chest....highlight....very yummy (^_^) and you can tell that this PV is one of his first ones ager Due, since he barely has any tattoos yet, which we all know isn't like that anymore (^_^)
During the "POP is dead" making of he shows his smile a lot, which is really really cute, but the rest is rather boring. Another thing about those off shots wich I don't like is the fact, that they don't have the original sound. I would have loved to hear Meevs blabla, but maybe he was talking too much crap that it was decided to play one of his songs instead of letting the views hear what he says...who knows.
Okay the original versions. Let's start with "Girls, be ambitious" which is quite a nice PV. It's about a girl beeing tied down to her bed by some illness in a very scifi looking room. Then she has visions about Meev in another room, just next to hers. That's about it....she gets up in her dream and opens the door. When she tries to tough him he disappears. That's pretty much it. I like the PV since Meev doesn't goof around and he look cute (^_^).
Next one is "POP is dead". I hate it....I really do, it's too poppy and Meev is goofing aroudn way to much for my taste. Well never mind watch it and you will discover what I'm talking about.
"Shindemo Boogie-Woogie" is set in an old theatre and Meev is either dancing around in a sparkling red suit which makes him look even skinnier than normally. Along with him there is some white chick wearing barly any cloth and a colored guy dancing along, too. Very freaky PV with no plot at all...or maybe I'm just too stupid to get it.
"自分革命-2003-" is set in some be-drawn factory building. Meev is wearing either a white or blue hooded jacked which looks really nice on him. Mainly there is no real plot to the PV. He's just running around destroying stuff, but the PV has a certain energy to it, which means I like it, even though it doesn't have a plot (^_^)
"Coo quack cluck-ク・ク・ル-" is also set in some be-drawn industrial area. Again no plot to the PV, he's just walking around there. I don't like the outfits, too. The cowboy hat with the sunglasses is nice, but those blue and white pants suck...and who the fuck gave him those gloves *yack*. With the other outfit he has some white cloth thingy wrapped around his head. Looks strange and doesn't appeal to me at all, so a big MINUS for that one. Avarage Meev PV, nothing special.
"常勝街道" iw one of my favorites since I like this back alley setting a lot. I like the fear and confusion you can see in Meev's eyes and he wears some pretty cool cloths. He just looks great in those big red pants (^_^) The video again doesn't have a plot, but we don't even ask for that anymore, do we?
"あしタ、元気ニなぁレ" is set in the country side. He's genkily dancing around in a field and just looks happy. No visual make-up which goes along with the setting really well....and to be honest, he doesn't seem to need it anyways. Those of you who know the song probably recall that there is a piano part to it. Well during that part he's playing on some toy piano, showing that he has no clue at all what he is doing. Really cute scene which makes this PV my favorite of the above.
